MS LAX Defeats Upper Moreland

The middle school lacrosse team won its first game against Upper Moreland 12-2.  Goals were scored by Molly Walsh (3), Tanner Lafferty (2), Sam Pizer (2), Cady Westkaemper  (2), Sophie Pettit (1), Lauren Brockwell (1), and Sarah Cummings (1).

MS Students Perform at the Temple University Performing Arts Center

Our MS band students performed at the Temple University Performing Arts Center yesterday in a combined concert with their Night Owl Community Band. Our students were wonderful and it was a great experience. Bravo!

JSD Earth Day Celebration Date Change

Due to the anticipated rain, the JSD Earth Day Celebration, including the Mini-Singer water ice fundraiser and the sports equipment swap, has been rescheduled for Friday, April 28th.

Bird Walk in Jenkintown

Saturday, April 29 – 10am to noon

Watch birds, learn about bird habitats and how best to promote them. A bird-watching expert will guide you and provide binoculars at each of the 4 sites.

Red & Blue Fair/Plant Sale

The annual Jenkintown Red & Blue Fair/Plant Sale, the biggest fundraiser for our Home & School Association, is only 4 1/2 weeks away!

Get ready to enjoy delicious fair food, fire truck rides, fun games, multiple inflatables, and so much more! The Fair will be held this year on Saturday, May 20th from 11am-3pm(rain or shine). Visit www.redandbluefair.org  for more information.

The fabulous Plant Sale (stocked by Kremp’s) is now taking pre-orders. Order early and save $$. Visit www.redandbluefair.org for more information and to order online. Or use the attached order form and submit to the school. Deadline for pre-orders is Friday, May 12th.

In case you haven’t heard, it takes a village to run this event!! We have over 230 volunteer shifts to fill from everything from setting up the fair, running a game, helping sell food, face painting, etc. Please sign up to help at www.redandbluefair.org or contact the Fair co-chairs (see below) for other volunteer positions.
