Blues Win Color Day 47-45

Blues just edge out Reds in Color Day 2017. Everyone has a safe Memorial Day weekend.

Important Color Day Updates

Dear Jenkintown Community:
Please pay attention to these important Color Day updates.
1) Last night, there was a significant transformer and car fire on Florence Avenue near Greenwood Avenue. At this time Greenwood Avenue is closed at Florence and according to the police chief, it will remain that way for the duration of this morning. Therefore, we will need to modify our parade route. Students will line up in the rear cul de sac on Highland Avenue (behind the ES) and will march down Highland Ave to the stadium where they will meet up with our band and parade one lap around the track. We understand it will shorten the parade, but we are working in coordination with the police to keep everyone safe.
2) The field and track are very wet. Mr. Vafiadis and Ms. Costner along with the principals are down on the field working hard to get the field and track as dry as possible. However, it will not be completely dry at all, so please be aware and come prepared.
3) Any teacher who usually drives to school over the bridge by the train station will not be able to get to school via Greenwood Avenue. You will need to detour around that street.
Lastly, MS/HS students should arrive to homeroom at 8:15 AM and the ES students at 8:30AM.
Have a great day and a huge THANK YOU to the staff members and administrators who are trying to get this event to go off without a hitch.
Happy Color Day!

Half the proceeds will go to the Jenkintown Arts Department to help maintain the kiln, and the other half will go to Loaves and Fishes Food Cupboard, helping feed the hungry. Your support is appreciated.

The Jenkintown Home & School Association will be running a Color Day concession stand from 9am-12. The menu features hot dogs, pizza, nachos, soft pretzels, fruit salad, bagels, coffee, bottled water, and Capri-Sun.
